NEW WORKS #3

Group exhibition by the Swiss Society of Visual Artists (SGBK), curated by Ursula Meier

Galerie Soussol, Aargauer Literaturhaus Lenzburg
October 26 – November 16, 2025

On November 6, 2025, I was invited to take part in a podium discussion at the Aargauer Literaturhaus on the theme “Writing about Art – Writing with Art.”

The conversation brought together Christine Rinderknecht, Claudia Storz, and myself, moderated by art historian Ursula Meier and Cédric Weidmann, director of the Literaturhaus. It was an engaging and lively exchange — with a personal highlight for me:
For the first time, I had the opportunity to read one of my haiku publicly (see under Poems).

My work in the exhibition: “Behind the Gaze”
At a time when faces have become the “currency” of social media, my photographic series turns to the backs of three people’s heads. Created in 2023 during a retreat in India, the works deliberately avoid the face, thereby opening a space for reflection and speculation.
The images invite viewers to consider identity beyond the visible surface. They speak of anonymity and familiarity, of migration, invisibility, and the hidden stories people carry with them.
