MIGRATION MEMORY Performance
I made this performance as part of the exhibition opening "Das Weite suchen" in Steckborn in the Haus zur Glocke on June 14, 2025. It completes my installation of the same name.
On my journey from Switzerland to Sicily, I collected water, sand, stones - and above all waste. I filled plastic bottles found along the way with these traces. The result is Migration Memory: a silent archive made of PET that tells of landscapes, people, flight and consumption. At the vernissage, I perform a gesture: I go into Lake Constance with rubber boots, let them fill up with water and bring them to the installation. There I mix the fresh water with the salt water from my journey - a poetic act about connection, the environment and change. More on this under "Group Exhibitions: Das Weite suchen".
