NET OF UNITY

My second contribution to the EUROFEMININ2025 exhibition, curated by Agnès Guhl as part of the 2025 European Women's Championship, is a 100 x 100 cm acrylic painting on canvas, designed in vibrant and symbolic colours. The dark, deep blue background conveys an atmosphere of depth and intensity that reflects the seriousness and challenges of football. Above it stretches a network of light blue honeycombs created by a football that has been dipped in paint. This unique technique not only brings dynamic textures into play, but also symbolises the connection and interaction between the players on the pitch.

Interpretation:
The painting embodies the energy and cohesion that characterise women's football. The use of the honeycomb pattern can be interpreted as a metaphor for the community and strategic cooperation of the players. The dark blue of the background represents the challenges and unbridled passion that characterise the sport. The light blue colour that characterises the honeycomb is not only a reference to the official colours of FIFA, but also symbolises the breath of fresh air that the women's football movement is bringing to the world of sport. Overall, the work conveys a sense of hope, team spirit and anticipation for the upcoming Euro 2025 matches.
