With the installation “Flat White”, I would like to initiate a provocative and multi-layered reflection on social ideals of beauty, gender roles and the burdens that women often take upon themselves. “Flat White” is a powerful, visual reflection on the complexity of female identity in a modern, urban environment. By addressing the tensions between aesthetics, pain and societal expectations, the installation provides a space for critical engagement and self-reflection. The combination of glamorous appearance and the physical consequences challenges viewers to confront the real challenges behind the image of a “perfect” woman.
