“DIVA” brings the lineage of prehistoric female figures into the present. With only a few flowing brushstrokes, a body-conscious figure emerges, recalling the Venus of Willendorf – a symbol of fertility, protection, and self-sufficiency. Rather than a reconstruction, it is a translation: I draw inspiration from archaeological finds and transform them into drawings, giving them new titles and a contemporary voice. In this way, what was once an object of study becomes a counterpart – not as an ideal, but as a self-assured, sensual being: a DIVA.
