ARTISTIC STATEMENT

My artistic practice unfolds at the intersections of drawing, photography, installation, performance, and digital media. I am interested in how images — whether hand-drawn, photographic, or generated by artificial intelligence — shape perception, memory, and identity. My work explores social rituals and visual stereotypes: from questions of body and beauty to themes of consumption and luxury, as well as collective symbols and myths.
The pieces I create transform the everyday into the poetic, placing familiar forms into new and often unsettling contexts. Ornament and exaggeration play as much of a role as reduction and silence. A field of tension emerges between irony and seriousness, between personal experience and social discourse.
Experimentation with media and material is essential to my practice: sometimes resulting in large-scale prints of Polaroids, sometimes in baroque-like AI images, luminous installations, or performative interventions in public space. This diversity of methods is not an end in itself, but rather an expression of an attitude: art as an open practice — one that poses questions, allows for moments of disorientation, and creates spaces of transformation.


Mein künstlerisches Schaffen bewegt sich an den Schnittstellen von Zeichnung, Fotografie, Installation, Performance und digitalen Medien. Mich interessiert, wie Bilder – ob handgezeichnet, fotografisch oder durch Künstliche Intelligenz erzeugt – Wahrnehmung, Erinnerung und Identität prägen. In meinen Arbeiten untersuche ich gesellschaftliche Rituale und visuelle Stereotype: von Fragen nach Körper und Schönheit über Konsum und Luxus bis hin zu kollektiven Symbolen und Mythen.
Dabei entstehen Werke, die das Alltägliche ins Poetische überführen und vertraute Formen in neue Zusammenhänge stellen. Ornament und Übertreibung spielen dabei ebenso eine Rolle wie Reduktion und Stille. Oft öffnet sich ein Spannungsfeld zwischen Ironie und Ernsthaftigkeit, zwischen persönlicher Erfahrung und gesellschaftlichem Diskurs.
Wesentlich ist für mich das Experimentieren mit Medien und Materialien: Mal entstehen großformatige Prints von Polaroids, mal barock anmutende KI-Grafiken, mal leuchtende Installationen oder performative Eingriffe im öffentlichen Raum. Die Vielschichtigkeit der Methoden ist kein Selbstzweck, sondern Ausdruck einer Haltung: Kunst als offene Praxis, die Fragen stellt, Irritationen zulässt und Momente der Verwandlung anbietet.
