FLOWERS FOREVER

2019
Three drawings, felt pen on paper, 21 × 29.7 cm each, series of three works, 2019
The starting point is not a classical still life but something fleeting: the shadows of a bouquet of flowers on the dining table. With felt pen, this ephemeral moment turns into a vibrating graphic—the many short strokes condense light and dark into pulsating surfaces rather than static ones. Color chords – yellow/pink/green, grey/cream/pink, violet/red with white reserves – translate daylight into atmospheres: from sunny to muted to electrifying. The contours of the shadows remain visible yet tip into abstraction; the flowers are less depicted than remembered.
The series captures the transition between perception and form: an everyday moment, held within the rhythm of strokes, granting permanence to the transient – flowers, forever.
